BIOGRAPHY:

CYNTHIA KNEEN (pronounced neen) has studied with some of the greatest teachers of the last century, including W. Edwards Deming, Kanjuro Shibata XX, Shunryu Suzuki, and in particular, Chögyam Trungpa, the Buddhist meditation master, author, scholar and artist. Author of Shambhala Warrior Training, best-selling audiotapes on Chögyam Trungpa's social vision, Woodrow Wilson Fellow, co-founder of Naropa University, and former senior manager at a major consumer products company, she has taught workshops on meditation, courage and effective leadership and business practices for twenty-five years. A practicing management consultant, she has expertise in computer manufacturing, consumer goods, education, financial services, HVAC, oil and gas, mining, pharmaceutical, semiconductor manufacturing, software and venture capital industries. Cynthia lives in Boulder, Colorado. Awake Mind, Open Heart is her first book.
