Session 11 Chair, Feeding the World

Dr. Ju taught Biology at Gordon College for 10 years before joining the staff at ECHO and creating the Sustainable Tropical Agriculture International Seminar (Gordon-at-ECHO). She taught a Biology class open to non-majors called Crops and Society for 6 years. She has traveled to many countries including co-leading Gordon marine biology classes in Malaysia, Venezuela and Kenya. She has conducted research in her laboratory on nitrogen metabolism in corn, cadmium tolerance in plants and antibacterial qualities of Moringa oleifera. She has recently joined the ECHO staff as the Seedbank Manager and plant Resource Specialist. She holds an adjunct faculty position at Gordon College.
