Urban Food Safety and Sustainable Development

BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Obiudu is the founder of Sustainable Management Consulting-SMC. He is a pomologist. He promotes social and economic well-being of children, families, and communities through experiential outdoor garden learning setting. He fosters the development of urban agriculture, community and school gardens as portals for nutrition, environment and health education. His greatest challenge today at local level is controlling child obesity, aggression, short attention span, asthma and food allergies resulting from poor food habits. At a global level he strives for the establishment of proactive and active action programs for the sustainable management, monitoring and evaluation of non-renewable natural resources. He states, "Man is never independent until he attains food security and safety status.”
