Managing Projects in the Developing World

Managing Projects in the Developing WorldFormal Project Engineering will better ensure sustainability, minimize project risks, accurately estimate costs, & meet community needs in a timely manner. The workshop will guide students through the six phases of managing a project from idea to project transition and assessment. Students will learn the power of community alignment and help on how to achieve it. Awareness of risks and their mitigation are fundamental at each phase of the process. Students will achieve an increased appreciation for the importance of direct & indirect safe design at all stages of the project. The project engineer will understand the necessity of identifying safety risks/consequences and methods of mitigation. These procedures will help assure that solutions are safely achievable, measurable, replicable & beneficial in a sustainable project environment. This course will give the project engineer an understanding of the importance of good project management and the tools to help make project success a reality!
