Zero Emissions: Practical Solutions for Eliminating the Concept of Waste

A framework for achieving multiple human needs (food, shelter, water, energy, security) through the complete utilization of resources available to a community. ZERI demonstrates how to achieve these goals in an environmentally sustainable manner through the application of sound science, a blend of modern and traditional technology, and the full consideration of ethical principles found in nature. ZERI solutions are being achieved through collaboration among scientists and engineers, business leaders, NGOs, academia, and most importantly the involvement of the communities in which projects are being implemented. The workshop will present an overview of ZERI principles and methodology followed by selected case studies showing the power and efficacy of the ZERI approach. There will be time allotted for questions and answers and panel dialogue within the half day format of the workshop. Should the workshop be expanded to a full day, we will add 2-3 more case studies to the program.
