Natural light, energy efficiency, and indoor environmental quality are critical elements in creating high performance learning environments. This presentation will explore key issue and present a range of solutions appropriate for educational facilities. Examples will come from projects throughout the world. A focused case study will be the development of a school in Curitiba, Brazil, where a standard plan for new schools was developed.
