Sustaining Human Health

The Health Track will offer three themes:

Health as a Human Right
Complementary Medicine

Ecological Medicine

Topics within this theme include innovative models for health promotion; environmental threats t to health; specific diseases such as AIDS and malaria; addictions such as tobacco and alcohol; alternative and complementary modalities to health and wellness; the overall interconnectedness of all; health in the context of human rights, etc. In addition, we will examine macro-factors associated with health status, including political, economic and social elements such as those associated with rapid population growth, the limited availability of health services and medicines.
