The Uni-Bell PVC Pipe Association is a non-profit, research / technical trade organization representing all segments of the gasket-joint polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe industry. It was formed by a group of PVC pipe producers who, in 1971, recognized the potential of the product for buried water, sewage, drainage and irrigation systems. Realizing that the quality, performance, and value of gasket-joint PVC pipe and fittings would make it the product of choice for such projects, a group of industry leaders set out to find the best way to convey technical information and research about PVC Pipe and its advantages over other traditional piping materials. Known today as Uni-Bell, it is dedicated to the technical research and education about PVC pipe to specifiers, engineers, contractors and members of academia, its future design, and the needs of such a large, dynamic industry.
