Airline Discounts

We have arranged discounts for conference attendees with both Frontier Airlines and United Airlines.

Frontier Airlines Special Airfare Offer for SR4 Conference Attendees:

• A 10% discount is available on all round-trip tickets purchased for the conference.
• Discount applicable for travel Sept 24 – Oct 8, 2004 only.
• Go to www.frontierairlines.com, fill in your dates of travel, and enter the code G870 in the “ticket designator” box.
• If you would prefer to book with one of Frontier’s reservations agents, of if you experience difficulty in making your on-line reservation, you or your travel agent can call 1-800-908-9069 and give the reservations agent the code MC0870.

United Airlines Special Airfare Offer for SR4 Conference Attendees:

• A 10% discount is available on all round-trip tickets purchased for the conference at least 7 days in advance.
• A 15% discount is available on all round-trip tickets purchased for the conference at least 30 days in advance.
• Discount applicable for travel Sept 24 – Oct 8, 2004 only.
• To make your reservation with United you or your travel agent must call 1-800-521-4041 and refer to the Meeting ID Number: 531EK.

Transportation From and To DIA

SuperShuttle

For out-of-town participants, we suggest that you take the SuperShuttle transport service that operates between DIA and Boulder. The SuperShuttle can take you from the main terminal of DIA to hotels or homes in Boulder. For specifics regarding reservations and additional information, please call (303) 227-0000 or visit their website. 

Rates: $20-26 one-way, $38-48 round trip.

Bus

Alternatively, we suggest the local RTD transit, AB bus.  Buses depart from the airport once an hour, with service from 6 am to 12:00 midnight. You can find information about the AB Bus at http://www.rtd-denver.com/skyRide.  Select "AB" to get the appropriate route schedule. 

Rates: $10 one-way, $18 round trip.

Car

Boulder has a great bus system, is very pedestrian friendly, and it is very easy to get around in Boulder without a car, so we highly recommend the mass transit (bus and shuttle) options, but . . .  In the event that you decide to rent a car and at the airport, there is a list of rental car companies available at http://www.flydenver.com/gt/rental.asp.

Driving time between DIA and Boulder is approximately 60 to 90 minutes. From DIA, follow Peña Boulevard (10 miles) south to I-70, and exit onto I-70 west. Follow I-70 west to I-270 west. I-270 merges into U.S. 36 west and takes you west into Boulder (about 23 miles). Exit at Baseline Road; turn left (west) onto Baseline Road, and then turn right (north) onto Broadway. The campus is to the right.
