Home-Stays

We are happy to announce that we will once again be helping to arrange free home-stays for eligible conference participants. This program was quite a success last year, and we are extremely thankful to all home-stay who opened their homes and hearts to deserving conference participants last year. We greatly appreciate the generosity of all home-stay hosts.

This year we are very pleased to be working with SpaceShare - a San Francisco based, non-profit organization which specializes in connecting people so that they can share resources. SpaceShare has created a customized home-stay, hotel-share, and rideboard program specifically for SR2004 participants.

SpaceShare: Share Accommodations
Offer your home to conference presenters or sign up with a host!

Presenters/International Attendees - Instructions for signing up for a Home-Stay:

1) If you are a conference attendee in need of a home-stay, please contact amy@sustainableresources.org to get an approval code.

2) Enter your housing needs at www.spaceshare.com/sr4. We will be using the following prioritization for approval of home-stays:

•  International presenters

•  Presenters from the United States

•  International attendees

•  U.S. Scholarship recipients

3) Use the SpaceShare site to find someone who can host you during the dates needed.

4) After you finalize a home-stay match both guest and host should 'cancel' their accounts.  Additionally, home-stay guests should e-mail the following info to amy@sustainableresources.org :

Guest name, guest e-mail address, host name and address, host e-mail address, host phone number, and the dates you are being hosted.

Boulder Residents - Sign up to be a Home-Stay Host:

If you live in Boulder and you are interested in being a home-stay host for SR2004, please sign up online at: www.spaceshare.com/sr4. We anticipate needing about 100 host families for this year's conference.  Home-stays are an integral part of a successful conference and they are a great way to meet and network with inspiring people from around the world who are interested in sustainability issues.  We greatly appreciate your generosity and hope that you find your host experience to be truly rewarding.

Thank you and enjoy your Home-Stay!
