BOULDER CONFERENCE BREEDS YOUTH LEADERS:
6-Day Emerging Leaders Program Presented by Youth for Youth

 

As part of the week-long Sustainable Resources Conference (September 26 th to October 5th), Sustainable Resources' Youth Track is offering a 6-day Emerging Leaders Seminar.   This interactive workshop – geared toward participants aged 18-28 - will feature more than 40 hours of personalized coaching, leadership training and education and takes place from September 28 – October 3 rd .   The first day of the training will focus on leadership skills and visualization.   The second day will feature a one-of-a-kind workshop with renowned international leaders called “Creating A Culture of Non-Violence.” The last day will feature the post-conference event “World Without Borders” Day, where attendees will collaborate with others to mobilize resources and put the emerging leader's plan into action.

In addition to attending pre and post conference workshops, participants will work with daily focus groups while having the opportunity to take part in interactive discussions with the conference's highlighted keynote speakers such as Hafsat Abiola, Satish Kumar, Bernie Glassman, Sobonfu Some and Liora Alder.

 

Emerging Leaders Seminar Schedule:

  • September 28: A full day of leadership training to expand skills, develop vision, identify current reality and the action steps needed to achieve the emerging leader's goals.   Featuring Susan Skjei, Leilani Henry, Ron Kertzner, Fleet Maull and Max Regan.
  • September 29: Full-day workshop: “Creating A Culture of Non-Violence” featuring prominent activists Satish Kumar, Riane Eisler, Dr. A.T. Ariyaratne, Bernie Glassman and Marshall Rosenberg.
  • Sept. 29-Oct 2: Attend the Sustainable Resources Conference and collaborate with 230 internationally-renowned experts and leaders on how to create a sustainable future.
  • October 3:   Engage in the “World Without Borders” day and collaborate with others to mobilize resources and put the emerging leader's plan into action.
